WinServer Information
WildCat WinServer was used by PRIMO Computer Systems, Inc. to provide Internet services to it's customers until they went out of business in May of 2003.
PRIMO Engineering has taken over and upgraded the Server to provide uninterrupted service to those past patrons. The software, which is now owned by Santronics, provides functionality for Dialup Internet Access, EMail, File Uploading/Downloading, Bulletin Board Messaging, and Online Gaming. Many features are available with a standard web browser, but added functionality is available by installing the WildCat Navigator Client.
The system is now setup so that users can use any of I-55 or Datasync's dailup access numbers and authenticate thru radius to my WildCat Server. You simply use any of my qualified domain names after the username so that their servers know where to authenticate to. For example: username@yourdomain.com. This could be primoengineering.com, primo.ws, primofish.com, or even your own personal domain name if it has been added. There is one access number that is dedicated for authentication to my system without having to use the domain name. That number is 228-372-1306 and is local to Pascagoula. The old access number of 228-762-5790 also routes to the same node.
Setting Up Your System:
On most Windows based computers, the Internet Setup wizard can be launched by going to Start, Run. Then type in INETWIZ and click OK. Follow the prompts and instructions. Choose to setup manually if asked. Here is the pertinent information you may need:
Username: Chosen when setup.
Password: Chosen when setup. You can change this at anytime by loggin in.
Number to Dial: 372-1306 or another access number
POP3 Incoming Mail Server: wildcat.primo.ws (or you can use mail.primocomputers.com)
SMTP Outgoing Mail Server: wildcat.primo.ws (or use your ISP's Mail Server, like mail.cableone.net)
Important Additional Change After using the Wizard:
Since my server resides on a separate network it is important to set your email client to authenticate before delivery. This is usually easy to do. For instructions on performing this step in Outlook Express, Click here. If you are using another ISP to get Internet Access, then use their Email Server for your outgoing email and DO NOT worry about this authentiation step. For example, if you use Cable One but still use email on my system, then use mail.cableone.net for your outgoing email server and wildcat.primo.ws for the incoming email server.
EMail settings can be edited in Outlook Express by going to Tools, Accounts. Then click on the Mail Tab. Additional email accounts can be added here to retrieve email from other other email boxes or servers.
